Arizona Eagle Mine

Hancon Mining Division has been engaged by Arizona Eagle Mining Corp. to engineer the reopening of the historic McCabe Mine near Prescott Valley, Arizona. The McCabe Mine sits at the heart of Arizona Eagle's 4,169-acre Eagle Project in Yavapai County. It is a high-grade gold and silver property that was last in operation in the 1980s. This project extends Hancon's U.S. footprint into the American Southwest and builds on our record of bringing complex underground operations back to life.

Our team is designing a full program to rehabilitate the mine's existing infrastructure. The work includes dewatering the 1,620-foot Sooner Shaft, rehabilitating the ventilation raise, installing an Alimak raise-climber system and developing access to the 830-foot level. Restoring infrastructure that is already in place, instead of building new, gives our client a faster and far more cost-effective path underground.

Once the work is complete, Arizona Eagle will be able to drill the deposit directly from underground. This will greatly reduce the need for surface drilling and lower the cost per metre drilled. The rehabilitation is scheduled to take about eight months and to support a Phase 1 underground drill program targeted for 2027. Through careful planning, skilled crews and a firm commitment to safety, Hancon is helping to unlock the next chapter of the McCabe Mine.
