Job Responsibilities:
- Drill with pneumatic long hole drill (Air Buggy).
- Load and blast long hole stopes and conventionally drilled raises.
- Read and interpret blast layouts, drill hole plans, and technical specifications.
- Ensure accurate hole placement, depth, and angles per specifications.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Monitor ground conditions and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Long Hole Driller or Blaster in an underground mining environment is considered an asset and will be given priority consideration.
- Proficiency in loading and blasting explosives, and understanding blasting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of ground conditions, drilling patterns, and blasting procedures.
- Valid MSHA Certification.
- Ability to obtain Possessor certification.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing conditions.
